General

DiarBid operates in Abu Dhabi, Dubai & Sharjah and soon will be expanding to the rest of UAE cities.

All items listed on Diarbid should be “usable” even if not in perfect condition. Items that are in poor condition aren’t accepted.
In addition, all items listed should be within the categories listed on the website. Any item that doesn’t fit within the listed categories can neither be listed nor sold on the website.

 

Seller

Follow the below simple steps and you will be all set up in few minutes

  • Place an auction by filling in all the item details

The seller will get paid as per the below Payment Scheme:

Starting Price: the minimum price required to start the auction.
Target Price: we recommend the target price be 40-60% of the original price of the item depending on its condition.
Buy Now Price: the price that the seller is willing to sell the item for immediately and end the auction.

When the item is sold, DiarBid will ask the seller to provide their IBAN and bank information, then upon successful delivery, the payment will be transferred to the seller's bank account within 2 working days. 

For quality check purposes, a hold amount of 5% from the target price will be frozen until the item is sold through a successful auction or buy now. Only if the item is sold and the buyer completes the payment successfully the seller’s hold amount will be captured by Diarbid then  the full remaining amount including the seller's hold captured previously will be will be transferred to the seller’s bank account excluding Diarbid’s charges. 

The seller will be notified of the highest bid on the listed item, if the bid is less than Target Price, the seller will have 24 hours to accept the highest offer. If there is no response within this time frame, the auction will be automatically canceled, and the seller can re-auction the item again.

The buyers will have the option to choose either to pick-up the item themselves from the seller, or to arrange delivery through us. In both cases the item should be collected within 5 working days effective from the auction ending date.
Upon collection, the item will be inspected, and the payment will be processed accordingly based on the listed payment scheme within 7 working days from the auction ending date.

Upon collection, the item will be inspected, and the payment will be processed accordingly based on the listed payment scheme within 7 working days from choosing the Buy Now option.

After the item is sold, the buyer will choose either to pick up the item or deliver it through DiarBid. If the buyer chooses to pick up the item directly, the seller will get notified, however, Kindly note that the payment will not be transferred to the seller, unless the buyer confirms they picked-up the item on DiarBid's dashboard.

Its highly recommended that the seller ensures that the buyer confirms the item collection once the process is completed.

If the buyer chooses to pick-up the item directly, and the item is not matching the description, the hold amount will not be refunded to the seller only if  the buyer provided us with pictures of the item that proves that the item is not matching the description mentioned in the listing. 
If the item is collected by DiarBid’s movers, the buyer will have a 24-hour window to confirm that the item is matching the description. In case the item is not matching the description, the hold amount will not be refunded to the seller.

A Collectible is an item worth far more than it was originally sold for because of its rarity and popularity, as well as its condition. Moreover, you can sell collectibles on DiarBid that are considered valuable & rare home items which should be kept indoors only.

Provenance is the documentation that authenticates a particular art piece or rare item. The seller should upload clear and readable pictures of the provenance documents pertaining to the art piece or the rare item to be auctioned.

 

Buyer

Diarbid ensures that all the items are authentic as the seller is required to submit a hold amount for quality insurance before submitting their auctions, then all the items are physically inspected by our authenticity experts before delivering the item to the buyer's location. Furthermore, the buyer will have a 24-hours window to inspect the item once delivered, and in case of any damage the buyer can return the item and the total amount will be fully refunded. Also, the buyer will be provided with a cash compensation or a discount coupon on their next purchase.

To ensure the authenticity of the buyer, a 10% hold amount of the bid's value will be frozen from the buyer's bank card. The hold amount will remain frozen until the seller is outbid, or the item is sold to another bidder. If the buyer wins the item, the hold amount will be captured by Diarbid and the seller will have to complete the pending payment on their dashboard within a maximum of 24 hours. Incase the buyer fails to complete the payment within 24 hours, the captured hold will not be refunded.

This is the amount that allows the buyer to buy the item directly and end the auction immediately.

The seller will be notified of the highest bid on the listed item and will have 24 hours to accept or reject the highest offer. 

The hold amount will be captured directly by Diarbid and the buyer has to pay the remaining amount plus a processing fee of 10 AED, which will be applied to final item price. 

The buyers will have the option to choose either to pick-up the item themselves from the seller, or to arrange delivery through us. In both cases the item should be collected within 5 working days effective from the auction ending date. We recommend to use our delivery partners to avoid the hassle of moving and installing the items and to ensure quality.

Our moving partners will collect the delivery fees directly from the buyer.

After you win the auction, you will be contacted by our delivery partners to set a convenient date for delivery within 5 working days.

If the item is delivered by our experienced delivery partners, they will perform an initial inspection before delivery. Once the item is delivered, the buyer will have 24 hours to double check the item. If there is a major defect, you can contact us for further investigation.
If the buyer chooses to pick-up the item by themselves, they can check the item for major defects and inform us for further investigation.

 

Moving

After creating an account on DiarBid and completing the moving form, you will receive an instant initial estimate of the quotation price. If you choose to proceed and submit the form, our experienced moving partners will provide you with the final quotation on your dashboard within 24 hours, you can then review and approve it by completing the payment. Ultimately, the initial quote and the final quote are usually of the same value unless the user required extra services such as handy man or storage.

After accepting the quotation, you will be asked to enter your bank card details to complete the transaction. Then, our experienced moving partners will contact you to arrange the moving based on your convenience.

Moving the extra items will result in additional charges, which will be paid directly to our experienced moving partners.
