Vision offers an interactive experience that brings the painting to life. To begin, hang the painting on the wall and stand about 5-6 feet away. Focus your eyes on the center of the piece for a few seconds. Initially, you’ll only see the central portion. While standing still, keep your gaze fixed on the center, then slowly move your head and body backward. As you do, you’ll experience the sensation of the trees moving forward! Similarly, by moving your head forward while in the same position, you’ll feel the trees retreating backward. This effect can also be applied sideways, creating a virtual movement to the left and right. Another magical element of this artwork occurs when you lie down about 6 feet in front of the painting, parallel to the wall, with your head aligned with the center. Focus on the middle of the piece, relax for a moment, and keep your eyes fixed. After a minute, you’ll notice the large tree appearing to rise out of the frame, much like a 3D image.
