Artistic Style
Aila's work draws on Ottoman Tezhip, Persian carpet traditions, and Islamic geometric design, translated into meticulously hand-painted compositions in acrylic and gold ink on canvas. Repetition, pattern, and the careful accumulation of detail are central to her process, reflecting an understanding of ornament not as decoration but as a form of knowledge. Her work invites a slower, more contemplative mode of looking, holding a quiet dialogue between inherited visual languages and contemporary artistic expression.
