Exhibitions
Anna Rita has held a series of solo exhibitions over nearly two decades. These include a solo exhibition at the Graf Zeppelin Haus congress centre in Friedrichshafen, Germany, in 2007; a solo exhibition at the Palazzo della Provincia in Pescara in 2010; a permanent exhibition at the premises of San Paolo Invest in Pescara from 2016; 'Le Seduzioni della Realtà' in Vasto in 2022; and 'Classico Contemporaneo', also in Vasto, in 2025.
Artistic Style
Anna Rita's work sits within the classical figurative tradition, approached with a technique precise enough to reveal the inner lives of her subjects. Figures and faces are central to her practice: a woman holding a crane beneath a golden halo, a geisha in an elaborate red kimono, or a body suspended underwater each become studies in grace, strength, and quiet introspection. Through carefully observed skin tones, flowing hair, and delicate expression, her portraits explore identity, femininity, and the space between vulnerability and serenity. Nature appears throughout her work as both setting and subject: flowers emerging from darkness and fruit suspended in clear water are rendered with a tactile realism, set against deep black backgrounds that heighten the vibrancy of color and the shimmer of light on water. The overall effect is one of stillness, a moment held in suspension, celebrating the freshness and quiet joy found in everyday subjects.
