About the creator
- Aryan Arora (b. 1999, Saharanpur, India) is a multidisciplinary visual and performance artist based in Singapore. A graduate of Lasalle College of the Arts and Goldsmiths University of London, Aryan’s work explores identity, societal norms, and the tensions between individuality and conformity. Recognized for his signature monochromatic palette and latex-like, faceless figures, he creates a powerful visual language that examines dualities. Presence and absence, vulnerability and concealment, authenticity and performance. His art reflects how people navigate societal expectations, often masking their true selves to fit imposed roles. Working across painting, performance, murals, and graffiti, Aryan uses his practice as a platform for dialogue and emotional reflection. His works have been featured at leading institutions, including the Institute of Contemporary Arts Singapore, Art SG, The Substation Gallery, Singapore Art Museum, and Mumbai International Airport. Through his thought-provoking creations, Aryan Arora continues to challenge conventions and invite audiences to uncover the authentic self within the layers of modern identity.
