- Azam Vi (family name Sadeghi) is a contemporary artist born in 1988 in the lush and magnificent region of Gorgan, often referred to as the "Switzerland" of northern Iran. Nestled between mountains and the Caspian Sea, this picturesque area provided a rich backdrop for Azam's early life. Despite growing up in a modest family that couldn't afford art supplies, Azam's passion for painting emerged at the tender age of three, using her older brother's notebooks as canvases. Her journey into the world of art was marked by resilience and dedication, especially during her rehabilitation from health issues at age ten, where she drew inspiration from the works of Picasso, Klimt, Warhol, and Vermeer. With degrees in the sciences of water and Iranian architecture, Azam boldly pursued her dream of becoming a free artist, moving to Dubai at 28. There, she established her studio and began exhibiting her work internationally in Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, and beyond. Today, living and working in the United Arab Emirates, Azam Vi continues to captivate audiences with her unique and inspiring voice in contemporary art.
