About the creator
- Darya's art reflects her multicultural background, drawing inspiration from the mountains of Kazakhstan, the tropical landscapes of Singapore, and the diverse culture of Dubai. Her wide international experience, spanning over two decades, is expressed through artworks created with macramé, resin, and mixed media on canvas. Darya's current series of portraits features striking female protagonists who are both bold and unflinching in character.
Education
Darya's artistic education began at the Classical Gymnasium of Arts N.46 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where she studied Fine Art from 1997 to 2006. This foundational training provided her with a solid grounding in the arts, which she continues to build upon throughout her creative career.
Exhibitions
Darya has showcased her work in several notable exhibitions worldwide. In 2024, she participated in a co-exhibition at Art Of Living Mall in Dubai and exhibited at World Art Dubai at the Dubai Trade Centre. She also had a display at Progix Gallery in NYC Times Square, USA, and took part in a group exhibition, "Red Horse with Tobuovimaan," at The Warehouse in Dubai. Earlier, in 2022, she was featured in a group exhibition, Pameran Postkad, at Ion Orchard in Singapore.
Awards
In 2022, Darya was recognized with a certificate of participation from the Art Vue Foundation in Brussels, Belgium, acknowledging her contribution to the foundation's artistic endeavors.
