As she progressed into high school, Eeshal's artistic journey took on new dimensions. She immersed herself in advanced art classes that introduced her to a variety of techniques and mediums including oil paints, acrylics, and ink. Sophomore year proved to be a transformative period, when her skills began to flourish and she found herself surrounded by peers who shared her creative drive. This environment helped sharpen her technique and gave her the confidence to enter art competitions for the first time.

Recognized at Regional, State & National Levels

Eeshal’s talents quickly gained recognition. She entered the prestigious VASE Scholastic Art Competition, beginning at the regional level and progressing to the state level in Texas—an achievement that speaks to her artistic excellence, especially considering the thousands of talented students who participate. Her artwork earned a score of 4 out of 5 at state level, and she also took home two medals at the regional VASE competition in Houston, Texas. Shortly after, her piece titled Withdrawn was selected from nationwide entries to be published in the Spring 2023 edition of the Celebrating Art Anthology, marking her as a National Winner among young American artists.

Pushing Boundaries & Celebrating Small Victories

While national competitions are exciting, Eeshal holds equal pride in the quieter moments of recognition that affirm her progress. One such moment was winning “Best Graphite Drawing” during her school’s art showcase—an event judged by her highly esteemed art teacher, known throughout Texas as one of the best in her field. This honor, though modest in scale, was deeply meaningful, reflecting her commitment to excellence and the high standards she holds for her craft.
