About the creator
Irina Klimova
- Irina Klimova is a Russian photographer, based in Russia. Artistic Style
Irina photographs in a state of deliberate attentiveness, treating the lens as a means of quieting internal noise and arriving at a state of pure seeing. Her images place contemporary people within visual frameworks that carry the weight and stillness of painted compositions, while her photographs of the natural world give voice and presence to wind, light, plants, and water as subjects rather than settings. She deliberately leaves the meaning of her work open, valuing the space in which a viewer brings their own story to the image. The practice is less about documentation than about restoring sensitivity: to sensation, to time, to the people and natural forces that surround us.
