About the creator
- Khaled Salem Aljaberi, an Emirati cartoonist and comedy writer, was born in August 1978 in Abu Dhabi. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Emirates in 2004 and is currently employed as an engineer at ADNOC Group. Despite his technical career, Khaled has carved out a significant niche in the creative world. He has worked as a cartoonist in local newspapers since 1999, contributing his talents to various publications, including Al Bayan and the 24.ae website. Khaled is also a distinguished member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society.
Exhibitions
Khaled has actively participated in multiple exhibitions across Oman, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai from 2003 to 2013. These exhibitions have showcased his unique style and creative works to a broad audience, highlighting his versatility and skill as a cartoonist and visual artist.
Work Releases
Khaled has an impressive portfolio of artistic and literary releases. His works include "Time Machine and Other Stories" (2010), a collection of comics, and "Mischievous Diaries" (2014), where he showcased his talents as a character cartoonist. In 2016, he released "The Story of Oil," another notable comic work. Khaled's literary achievements include his satirical novel "Harrabt," first released in April 2013 with a second edition in August 2013, and two short story collections, "Smile of the Dead" (April 2009) and "Second Life" (March 2010). His first novel, "Alrehaala," was published in June 2009, and "Second Life" was translated into German with support from the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture & Heritage in 2010. In cinema, Khaled wrote the script for the short film "Tamarrud," which was featured at the Dubai International Film Festival, and he was the screenwriter for the comedy film "Khalk Shanab," parts one and two, released in 2019 and 2022 respectively.
