- Anjini Prakash Laitu, affectionately known as the Colourman of Dubai, is an inspiring artist who began painting at the age of 60 and now, at 80, continues to create vibrant works that captivate audiences worldwide. Growing up in Mathura, Anjini developed a love for colors that stayed with him despite a long career in paper technology and later in Dubai’s glass bottle-making industry. Post-retirement, he rekindled his passion for art, initially experimenting with fabric painting before enrolling at the Sharjah Art Institute to become a certified artist. His works, inspired by the vivid colors of his hometown, have been exhibited across the UAE, India, and Nepal, and he is a regular at World Art Dubai. Honored with the prestigious Golden Visa from the Ministry of Culture in Dubai, Anjini also collaborates with haute couture designers and continues to paint seven to eight pieces a month. Influenced by the legendary MF Husain, Anjini believes in the freedom of artistic expression and aims to pass on his legacy to the next generation.

Anjini Prakash Laitu, also known as the Colourman of Dubai, began his artistic journey at the age of 60, enrolling in the Sharjah Art Institute in 2005 to hone his skills and becoming a certified artist within three years. Despite his late start, he quickly made a name for himself, showcasing his vibrant, life-affirming paintings that evoke positive vibes. He has participated in numerous exhibitions across the UAE, India, Nepal, Qatar, and regularly displays his works at World Art Dubai, one of the most prominent international art events. Additionally, he has held solo exhibitions at the Arab Cultural Club, presenting both canvas and textile paintings. His work in fabric painting has also been showcased in a fashion show at Dubai’s floating hotel, Queen Elizabeth 2. Anjini's contributions to the art world have not gone unnoticed. He is a member of the prestigious Emirates Fine Art Society and has been honored with the Golden Visa from the Ministry of Culture Dubai, reflecting the respect and admiration he has garnered for his artistic endeavors.
