About the creator
- I am an artist and writer originally from the North East of England. Throughout my life, I’ve been fortunate to call many places home, including Dubai, Shanghai, Oman, Dusseldorf, Limburg in Germany, and Bath, UK. My artistic journey began with storytelling, where I initially explored sequential art. This led me to study at the Sequential Art Workshop in the USA, which opened up new creative horizons. My passion for art deepened as I later studied at an Atelier at the Academy of Fine Art in Germany, where I honed my classical realist fine art skills. Currently, I live and work as an artist in Dubai, focusing mainly on contemporary realism, creating portraiture and figurative pieces to tell meaningful stories.
Education & Training
I am continuously dedicated to expanding my artistic knowledge and skill set. I attended the Academy of Fine Art in Germany, where I trained in an Atelier setting for one semester from September to December 2023. This experience greatly influenced my approach to classical realism. Additionally, I completed the Sequential Artist Workshop in the USA in 2023, finishing a one-year program that culminated in the publication of my sequential art in an anthology. This exposure to different styles and techniques has enriched my storytelling and artistic versatility.
Artistic Approach
My art is deeply influenced by my diverse experiences and backgrounds. The blend of deconstructed realism and storytelling is central to my work, with portraiture and figurative art serving as the primary mediums through which I express emotions and narratives. Each piece I create aims to connect the viewer with a personal story, using the human figure to convey the complexity of life’s experiences. Through my work, I hope to invite others to pause and reflect, offering a space for contemplation and emotional connection.
