Naquib Hassamo

Naquib, originally from Lisbon, brings a dynamic blend of creativity, leadership, and international experience to his work. He recently completed a role as Operations Director at Sweet Atlantic Hotel & Spa in Figueira da Foz, while also showcasing his creative talents in the Elevarte Exhibition with his ceramic tile project Cria Tu, which received notable success. His career began in Angola, where he worked as an Interior Designer and 3D Expert for CONCENTRA. He was later appointed Project Manager at Soel Lda., overseeing the final stages of a hotel construction project. In Portugal, Naquib contributed to public sector design initiatives with the Junta da Freguesia da Agualva, managing a range of interior design projects from concept to execution. Naquib also has a strong background in logistics, having worked with Real Panoplia in Odivelas to manage outsourcing for major multinational clients such as GE, Barclays Finance, BMW Finance, MetLife, Allianz, Liberty, and Mapfre Insurance. Multilingual, he speaks five foreign languages and recently completed an English and Office Skills course at City and Islington College in London. In the hospitality industry, Naquib has held diverse roles, including Food and Beverage Manager at Hotel Berna in Lisbon and receptionist positions at various hotels in both Lisbon and the UK, such as Comfort Inn Buckingham Palace and Days Hotel Hounslow in Greater London. During the pandemic, after losing a position as an apprentice mould drawer, he pivoted toward digital technologies, completing a program at CENCAL in Alcobaça. Today, he divides his time between hospitality management—where he is confident in leading departments or working on the front lines—and developing his own artistic tile creations. Known for his calm, solution-oriented approach and ability to adapt to new environments, Naquib’s true passion lies in design, where his creativity continues to thrive.
