Artistic Style
Nena's paintings combine layered textures, expressive colour, mixed media, and gold leaf to create compositions that explore transformation, resilience, and the emotional weight of cultural memory. Her PhD in European Cultural History informs an approach to abstraction that is both intuitive and intellectually considered, drawing on the relationship between personal experience and broader cultural inheritance. Each work functions as an invitation to the viewer to discover their own story within the composition, creating a dialogue between the painting and whoever stands before it.
