About the creator
- Nourhan Eltoukhi is a multidisciplinary Egyptian artist working across painting, photography, and embodied expression. With a background in psychology and the healing arts, her practice explores the deep ties between memory, place, and emotion. Her paintings, guided by texture, gesture, and intuition, often address themes of healing, spiritual memory, and body wisdom, while her photography captures fleeting moments of stillness. From urban textures to the hidden stories of everyday life. Influenced by travel, solitude, and a sensitivity to both the seen and unseen, her work seeks not to replicate what is visible but to express what is deeply felt. Based between Cairo and other cities, Eltoukhi continues to explore how art can hold presence, transformation, and truth.
Biography
Nourhan Eltoukhi is a psychotherapist, expressive arts therapist, and multidisciplinary artist whose practice bridges clinical psychology, body-based healing, and the creative arts. With a foundation in psychology and long-term training in expressive and somatic therapies, she integrates art, movement, sound, and reflection to support emotional clarity and personal transformation. Rooted in both science and creativity, her work invites people to reconnect with their inner wisdom, explore personal narratives, and experience healing through embodied expression. She works bilingually in Arabic and English, with sensitivity to cultural identity and individual rhythm.
Education & Professional Training
Eltoukhi holds an MSc in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health (London South Bank University, Merit) and a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours (Taylor’s University, Dean’s List). She has completed a three-year diploma in Art Therapy at the College of Educational & Clinical Art Therapy and a two-year certification in Expressive Arts Therapy with the World Arts Organization under supervision. Her ongoing learning reflects her deep commitment to growth, including studies in somatic practices such as Spinal Energetics, Somatic Experiencing®, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Sufi Psychology. In addition, she has pursued holistic healing modalities, training in tuning fork therapy, crystal and sound healing, aromatherapy, dreamwork, and energetic numerology. She continues to develop her practice through ongoing studies in movement medicine, expressive arts, and therapeutic approaches that integrate the mind, body, and spirit.
Therapeutic Orientation
Eltoukhi’s therapeutic approach integrates clinical insight with body-based awareness and creative exploration. She views creativity as a quiet language of the body and spirit, offering a way to access emotional truths beyond words. Her orientation emphasizes expression and regulation rather than “fixing,” supporting clients in unfolding their inner compass and innate wisdom. With seven years of training, supervision, and lived practice, she bridges therapy, art-making, and collective healing rooted in honesty and care. She works bilingually, drawing from cultural sensitivity and awareness, and offers a therapeutic space that supports emotional clarity, creative vitality, and deeper self-connection.
Artistic & Multidisciplinary Practice
As a multidisciplinary artist, Eltoukhi works across painting, photography, and embodied arts. Her creative practice explores themes of memory, healing, and spiritual presence. Her paintings are layered and intuitive, emerging from texture, gesture, and emotional resonance. Her photography captures fleeting details of light, movement, and everyday life, uncovering the unseen stories behind ordinary moments. Shaped by travel, solitude, and reflective practice, her art is less about replication and more about sensing. A way of expressing what exists beneath the visible. Through both canvas and lens, she invites viewers into spaces of reflection, softness, and emotional depth.
Professional Offerings
Eltoukhi offers one-to-one therapy that integrates somatic work, creative expression, and talk-based reflection, available through international wellness platforms such as Spring Health, Modern Health, and O7 Therapy, as well as in-person centers including The Place, Wellness Hub, and Heal. Her group workshops bring together movement, voice, painting, and ritual, creating experiential spaces for expression and connection. She also leads sound healing sessions with crystal bowls, tuning forks, and voice, facilitating emotional release and nervous system restoration. Her retreat work focuses on somatic practice, creative reconnection, and rest, while her workplace wellbeing sessions support stress reduction and balance in professional environments. She has collaborated with organizations including Mastercard, Sunderland, and Vitafluence. In parallel, she develops healing art projects, such as Untold Stories of a Tree, a fine art photography series exploring the dialogue between nature and inner life. She is also working on therapeutic journals that combine poetry, visual art, and self-reflective practices.
Research & Long-Term Focus
Eltoukhi’s current research investigates the relationship between autoimmune illness, the nervous system, and integrative healing. Particularly in the context of Multiple Sclerosis. She explores how expressive arts and alternative medicine can support well-being through symbolic expression, postural movement, herbal medicine, and functional health practices. Her inquiry emphasizes embodied experience and the interconnectedness of physical and emotional healing, reflecting her broader commitment to integrating science, art, and spirituality.
