Her works incorporate mirrors, natural stones, crushed glass, gold leaf, textured pastes, and epoxy, reflecting her constant desire to explore and innovate rather than limit herself to a single medium. Polina draws inspiration from the world around her, nature, gemstones, vibrant birds, design, people, and cinema, transforming these impressions into expressive, high-energy creations. She believes that artists perceive reality through a different spectrum, channeling imagination into tangible form. Every piece she creates is entirely handmade, infused with intention, emotion, and elevated vibrational energy. Artistic Statement
Dubai-based Russian artist Polina Akyeva explores the limitless possibilities of mixed media, working with mirrors, natural stones, gold leaf, crushed glass, textured pastes, and epoxy. Her creative process is fueled by inspiration drawn from nature, gemstones, vibrant birds, design, and everyday encounters. Polina believes artists view the world through a different spectrum of color and imagination, translating that vision into expressive, high-energy works. Each piece she creates is fully handmade and infused with emotion, intention, and uplifting vibrational energy. Her mission is to bring more color, beauty, and magic into the world through her evolving artistic journey.
Exhibitions
Polina Akyeva has exhibited her work across notable venues in the UAE, including World Art Dubai (2–5 May 2024), La Meridien’s 45th Sapphire Anniversary showcase (18–31 July 2024), and Yellow Korner Gallery at the Art of Living Mall (11–30 July 2024). Her artistic journey continued with a curated presentation at ATUS Gallery (10–24 November 2024) and a private solo exhibition at Ikra Restaurant in Bluewaters (26 November 2024). She later showcased her work at Noor Royal Gallery (7–16 March 2025), participated in the Dusit Thani Hotel exhibition (28–19 May 2025), and presented selected pieces at Novanta Restaurant in the Fairmont Hotel (21 November 2025), highlighting her evolving mixed-media practice across diverse cultural spaces.
