About the creator

Polina Starokon (POLLA-D'ART)

Polina Starokon is a self-taught artist whose journey into art began through personal exploration and an intuitive connection with form. She is known for her textured, sculptural paintings that blend elements of fine art and decorative sculpture. Through her tactile process, Polina transforms texture into an expressive language of emotion. Her work often reflects themes of feminine energy, inner light, and the dialogue between nature and human emotion. Working with mixed media, such as acrylic, decorative plaster, gilding, and other tactile materials. She creates pieces that invite both visual and sensory engagement. Polina’s artworks have been exhibited internationally in Egypt, Turkey, Italy, and Greece.
  • Education

Polina Starokon received her foundational art education from an art school in Russia. As a self-taught artist, she continues to refine and expand her practice through ongoing exploration in painting, texture, and sculptural techniques.

  • Artistic Style

Polla D’Art produces textured plaster panels that seamlessly merge painting with sculptural form. Her work explores the interplay of light, material, and emotion, encouraging viewers to engage with art not just visually but through its depth and tactile presence. A recurring motif in her work is the feminine silhouette, symbolizing both strength and vulnerability. Through abstraction and relief, she transforms these forms into contemplations on identity, emotion, and the subtle boundary between reality and illusion. Her creative process is intuitive and experimental, focusing on movement, surface, and the dynamic interaction of light and shadow, guided by the belief that texture can convey meaning as powerfully as color.
