Sana Ullah

Sana Ullah, originally from Chitral in the northern region of Pakistan, is a distinguished visual artist known for his spiritually inspired work. A gold medalist from the Department of Art & Design at the University of Peshawar, he later completed his MPhil from Punjab University. His passion for drawing and painting began in childhood and has evolved into a profound artistic practice deeply rooted in his faith. Influenced by the Holy Quran, Sufism, and his own meditative experiences, Sana Ullah’s work explores themes of spirituality and inner reflection. As a proud Chitrali, he has also created series celebrating Kalash culture and the serene landscapes of Chitral, often working in the delicate medium of watercolor. His paintings have been showcased both nationally and internationally at prestigious venues, including IWS Fabriano in Italy, the Portuguese National Pavilion in Lisbon, PNCA Permanent Collection, Ejaz Art Gallery, Citi Art Gallery Karachi, Shakir Ali Museum, Alhamra Art Gallery, Aiwan-e-Iqbal, and Anamolika Art Gallery in Lahore. Through his art, Sana Ullah continues to bridge cultural heritage with spiritual exploration.

    Sana Ullah holds a Bachelor's degree in Painting from the Department of Art & Design at the University of Peshawar, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for academic excellence. He is currently pursuing his MPhil at the University College of Art & Design, Punjab University, with expected completion in July of this year.

    His work has been featured in numerous national and international exhibitions, including prestigious platforms such as IWS Fabriano (Italy), the Portuguese National Pavilion in Lisbon, and the Permanent Display at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). Sana Ullah has also exhibited at Ejaz Art Gallery, Citi Art Gallery Karachi, Shakir Ali Museum, Alhamra Art Gallery, Aiwan-e-Iqbal, and Anamolika Art Gallery Lahore. Additionally, he participated in the "CURRENT" Young Artist Exhibition at Alhamra Art Council and was selected for the 150 Years of Celebration Exhibition organized by the International Watercolor Society of Canada.
