About the creator
- Shrouk Alaa is a visual artist born in the UAE and based in Egypt. She studied Fine Arts in Egypt, specializing in Printmaking, before recently expanding her practice into painting as a more open field for visual and emotional exploration, her artistic approach is rooted in Expressionism, with a strong influence from German Expressionism. Human emotion stands at the core of her work, where feeling precedes interpretation. Shorouk is particularly concerned with the emotional impact of the artwork, aiming for the viewer’s first encounter to be guided by sensation rather than rational analysis, She has participated in several group exhibitions, and her works are held in private collections. Alongside my artistic practice, I have been involved in exhibition organization and curatorial work as part of collaborative teams, contributing to my visual sensibility and professional engagement with artists and exhibition spaces
