Yuvika Garg

Short Biography

Yuvika has built one of the most active exhibition records among Dubai-based artists, holding two solo exhibitions and participating in over fifty group exhibitions locally and internationally. Her solo shows include a presentation at Dubai Mall in 2021 and at World Art Dubai in 2022. She has shown work at the New York Art Fair, Fabriano in Italy, DIFC Art Nights, and the IAA Greece in support of UNESCO, and participated in the group exhibition 'Ehtifal Al Emarat' held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Khalifa Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. She has served as a jury member for an art competition at Khaleej Times and conducted masterclasses at De Montfort University, Dubai. She has been featured in leading print and digital media in India and the UAE, and her works are held by collectors across both countries.

Exhibitions

Yuvika's selected exhibition record includes the New York Art Fair (2025); IAA Greece in support of UNESCO (2023); 'Ehtifal Al Emarat', a group exhibition by 51 artists celebrating the 51st National Day of the UAE, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Khalifa Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan and the Embassy of India (2022); a solo exhibition at World Art Dubai (2022); a solo exhibition at Dubai Mall (2021); DIFC Art Nights (2019); and Fabriano in Acquarello, Italy (2018).

Awards

Yuvika won first place at Kobo Art in 2020 and the Staff Vote at Clyde and Co. MENA Art Awards in 2019. She was nominated three times and exhibited at the Noon Art Awards in 2018, 2021, and 2022, held under the patronage of HH Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, Sharjah. Her work 'Memories' was shortlisted for the Emerging Art Prize in 2021. She was a finalist at the Global Art Awards in 2018 and received a Diploma of Distinction at the National Exhibition of Art for Children and Youth, SANSKRITI, India, in 2000. She was certified by Dubai Cares in 2017 for her contribution to the Empowering Girls through Education initiative, and her artwork 'Simply City' was selected among the top ten highest voted works in an online contest by Ahlan Art Gallery, London, in 2017.

Artistic Style

Yuvika works in acrylic on canvas, with the palette knife as her primary tool, building surfaces of bold, textured strokes that carry a sense of energy and movement. Her compositions are layered and emotionally weighted, exploring the inner world of the individual through colour, gesture, and dynamic mark-making. The work ranges from expressions of complex emotional states to quieter, more intimate moments of human experience, all approached through a consistent visual language built on texture, depth, and the physical energy of the palette knife.

Additional Information

Yuvika is founder of UV Art Studio and holds the UAE Cultural Golden Visa. She has served as jury member for the Khaleej Times art competition (2024), conducted masterclasses at De Montfort University, Dubai (2022 and 2023), and served as Design Team Lead for the IWS UAE International Watercolor Festival (2018). She has contributed to social cause events including Empowering Girls through Education, Home Without Borders, and Less is More, and has mentored children at community events including Joining Hands and Al Amal.
