Lost in Translation — Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival 2027 Open Call

The Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival 2027 invites artists and filmmakers worldwide to submit works responding to the theme “Lost in Translation,” exploring ideas of cultural displacement, identity, miscommunication, and the emotional experience of being between places, languages, and selves. Organized by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, the festival takes place at Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village and welcomes submissions across photography, painting, sculpture/installation, video art, and short film. Applicants may submit up to four works across two mediums, along with a brief statement, CV, and bio. Open to emerging and established artists, filmmakers, and students, the call runs from 6 April to 5 June 2026, with selected works featured in the January 2027 festival and eligible for multiple awards.
