Surreal Illusionism
In Surreal Illusionism, I merge real-life characters and settings with unexpected, dreamlike twists. Each illustration reimagines familiar scenes in unique, imaginative ways, inviting viewers to explore reality from a fresh perspective. Some scenes depict real moments from the UAE, while others stem from deeply rooted memories, blending inner reflections with outward expressions in my artwork.

About the creator
- I am a Russian artist who has been living in Dubai for many years, driven by a deep passion for art that began in my childhood. My artistic focus has evolved over time, with a particular emphasis on pencil and watercolor, where I explore both realism and surrealism. Recently, I’ve also ventured into creating accessories, adding a new dimension to my artistic practice.
Education
I have been passionate about art since my teenage years, attending art school in my hometown and taking extra art courses to enhance my skills. I had the unique opportunity to work alongside talented artists in various studios, which played a crucial role in shaping my artistic journey. After moving to the UAE in 1996, I explored different fields but ultimately returned to my true passion—art. Since then, I have focused on developing my style, with pencil and watercolor as my preferred mediums.
Exhibitions
Over the years, I have had the honor of participating in several prestigious exhibitions and events. These include the Dubai Show Jumping Championship, World Art Dubai (as a solo artist at the Dubai World Trade Centre), Dubai International Horse Fair, Women in Art Exhibition at Central Park Towers DIFC, and Common Ground Exhibition. Additionally, I have exhibited my work at the Art Smiley Cultural Diversity event at DoubleTree by Hilton, the Red Horse Exhibition at The Warehouse, and again at World Art Dubai with Reem Gallery. These exhibitions have allowed me to showcase my passion for art to diverse audiences while also connecting with fellow artists from around the world. More recently, I’ve also begun creating accessories, further expanding my artistic expression.
