"Parcy" is an anime-style inspired portrait painting featuring a beautiful Chinese girl in front of a vibrant graffiti backdrop. This artwork is based on a photograph I took at La Mer Beach in Dubai. The dominant colour in the painting is red, symbolising powerful emotions such as love and anger. However, the girl in the painting appears joyful and kind, offering a contrast between the intense symbolism of the colour and the peaceful expression on her face, allowing for multiple interpretations within the same piece. Created with acrylic paints on canvas, this piece measures 70 x 60 cm. I finish all my paintings with a layer of semi-gloss varnish to enhance the vibrancy of the colors and provide a durable, clear protective coating.
