Description
This artwork illustrates the stages of life, showcasing how children can care for their parents as they age. The artist uses the butterfly life cycle as a metaphor for the nurturing role children play in their parents' lives. In the artwork, people with black hair represent children, while individuals with white hair symbolize aging parents. The sustainable project features people crafted from recycled materials such as clothes, ropes, straw, socks, metal wire, and face masks. Furniture is ingeniously made from recycled items like medicine boxes (used for the game table), thermocol, matchstick boxes and cloth bags for chairs, and discarded blocks for benches. The environment incorporates a boat made from plastic packing strips, a football goal meticulously crafted from popsicle sticks, plants created from pistachio shells, lights and WiFi towers ingeniously assembled from skewers and broken LEGOs, and a serene sea sculpted from seashells. Non-recycled items like clay, feathers, paper, pompoms, wool, ribbon, and pipe cleaners are also incorporated to add meaning and texture. The egg in the artwork symbolizes the importance of providing a comfortable home for elderly parents. This assembly of "New Beginnings" represents the nurturing and protective environment that children provide for their aging parents. The first circle of the caterpillar depicts the child encouraging the elderly parent to embrace physical activity and rediscover the joy of movement. The second part of the caterpillar emphasizes shared meals as a bonding ritual. The third part shows the child providing opportunities for the parent's social life, including games and vibrant connections with friends.
