The Inner Sky comes from my reflections on caring for something beyond the physical — protecting what’s fragile and essential inside us. I was inspired by Iran’s ancient pigeon towers: thoughtful structures built to provide shelter and safety. This idea took shape in a spiral sculpture that draws the viewer inward — inviting them to explore their own inner world. Guided by Rumi’s words “The path to the sky is within,” draws us toward the essence of the self. Mirrors placed throughout mark different moments of self-awareness. As they come closer to the center, the reflections grow clearer — much like the insight gained by focusing inward and paying close attention. For me, this work is a reminder that the light we often seek outside is already inside us — we just need to recognize it.
