Description
This painting shows the daily routines of the local people as they cross the famous square in Marrakech. The theatre of life is played out every morning in this giant square. The series of painting, The Theatre of Life, explore how societies fuse together with clockwork precision, through their daily journeys, daily toils, and interactions. This may appear chaotic and random from the outside, but like a colony of ants, they move together with an astonishing synchronicity that is both timeless and beautiful; this may escapes the casual observer but for me, it has been an inspiration for my paintings. I wonder, what if an outsider were to be placed in the the middle of this stage, no script, no costume no role to play, they would struggle to survive, just like a creature in nature would struggle.
