His bachelor's degree in civil engineering at Omdurman Islamic University and his inclination toward project management, along with his interest in art history, enabled him to pursue a career in curating and art research.

Despite this unconventional path, Mowaffag’s talent quickly garnered attention, culminating in his debut solo exhibition during the university's Cultural Engineer Week in 2017. This inaugural showcase, marked by its critical acclaim, marked the beginning of Mowaffag's evolution as an artist. In subsequent years, Mowaffag's art has been featured prominently in various exhibitions across Sudan, including notable showcases such as "The Postcard Festival," "The Lab Bazar," and "The Collage Exhibition" at The Downtown Gallery. His contributions to the art world have earned him accolades, including the prestigious title of "Most Ambitious Artist" at The Hub Sudan's "Spoken Art September" exhibition in 2021.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Mowaffag is a skilled project manager, honed through his background in civil engineering. He has leveraged this expertise to curate exhibitions at his alma mater and cultivate relationships with esteemed galleries such as The Downtown Gallery, Jaloos Gallery, and The Muse Multi Studio. His meticulous attention to detail and dedication to every aspect of the exhibition process from artwork selection to installation, underscore his professionalism and commitment to excellence.
