Inspired by the tribal masks of different ancient civilizations in Asia, South America, and Africa, such as the civilizations of Lama, Aztecs and Mali. Masks were worn as a part of ceremonies and rituals, emulating a man or animal face. I aimed to capture the essence of the masks power in this artwork. Which were believed to be conduits for channeling spirits, and I wanted to evoke a sense of awe and trepidation in the viewer, reflecting the respect these objects commanded.
