The Glitch: Fragmented Becoming - الاختلال: التشكّل عبر التفتّت
DiarBid Art House is curating The Glitch: Fragmented Becoming, in collaboration with Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, taking place at the Al Shindagha Museum - House 353, this August. Opening Reception: 22nd of August, 2026. The Glitch: Fragmented Becoming brings together 35 artists who explore identity as fluid, layered, and continuously evolving. Through fragmented, distorted, duplicated, and incomplete forms, the works examine how the self is shaped by memory, displacement, shifting environments, and the uncertainties of contemporary life. The glitch functions as both a visual language and a metaphor for these shifting states. By interrupting familiar forms and unsettling recognition, it opens alternative ways of seeing and becoming. Fragmentation is approached not as loss, but as a generative space where the familiar can be disrupted and the incomplete can remain open to new possibilities. Together, the works present identity as an ongoing process rather than a fixed state. Fragmented Becoming considers what can emerge through moments of rupture and uncertainty, suggesting that transformation often begins where familiar forms of the self no longer hold. حفل الافتتاح: 22 من أغسطس 2026 يجمع معرض «الاختلال : التشكّل عبر التفتّت» 35 فنانًا يستكشفون الهوية بوصفها مرنة، متعددة الطبقات، وفي حالة تطور مستمر. ومن خلال أشكال مجزأة، ومشوّهة، ومكررة، وغير مكتملة، تتناول الأعمال كيفية تشكّل الذات بفعل الذاكرة، والنزوح، والبيئات المتغيرة، وحالات عدم اليقين في الحياة المعاصرة. يعمل الخلل بوصفه لغة بصرية واستعارة لهذه الحالات المتغيرة في آنٍ واحد. فمن خلال مقاطعة الأشكال المألوفة وزعزعة الإدراك، يفتح المجال أمام طرق بديلة للرؤية والتشكّل. ولا يُنظر إلى التفتّت بوصفه فقدانًا، بل باعتباره مساحة مولِّدة يمكن فيها زعزعة المألوف، وأن يظل غير المكتمل مفتوحًا أمام إمكانات جديدة. وتقدم الأعمال مجتمعةً الهوية بوصفها عملية مستمرة وليست حالة ثابتة. ويتأمل «التشكّل عبر التفتّت» ما يمكن أن ينبثق من لحظات الانقطاع وعدم اليقين، ويطرح فكرة أن التحوّل قد يبدأ عندما تتغير صورتنا المألوفة عن ذواتنا. فترة المعرض: من ٢٢ أغسطس إلى ١٥ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٦ يفتح يومياً من الساعة ٨ صباحاً إلى ٨ مساءً
