Initially pursuing a career in business and finance with a degree from Boston University, Akshita later discovered her true calling in the arts, leading her to study interior design at the Florence Design Academy and, subsequently, painting and drawing at the Lotus Educational Institute in Dubai. Through her unique style, which combines traditional techniques with modern sensibilities, she has developed a distinctive approach rooted in empathy, compassion, and a commitment to collective well-being. Her art serves as a beacon of light in an often turbulent world, aspiring to spark hope and ignite joy in the viewer’s heart.
Alina O’Dwyer
Alina O’Dwyer is a contemporary artist whose journey began in a small Russian village, where her fascination with Kazimir Malevich and suprematism sparked a lifelong passion for art. Despite earning a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and initially pursuing a corporate career, Alina transitioned to the art world in 2012, driven by her creative calling. After spending seven years as a professional photographer specializing in portrait and travel photography, she shifted her focus to painting during the pandemic, a transformative period that coincided with the birth of her daughter, Amelia. Alina’s vibrant oil and acrylic artworks explore themes such as the untamed beauty of nature, the animal kingdom, and the resilience and independence of women. Her distinctive use of color and form reflects her belief in the harmony between humanity and wildlife, emphasizing the importance of preserving natural habitats over commercial development.
ANAS ABRO
Anas Abro, born in 1993 in Hyderabad, Pakistan, is a multifaceted visual artist specializing in painting, restoration, and graphic design. A graduate of the Centre of Excellence in Arts and Design at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Abro majored in painting and further honed his skills through specialized training in oil painting restoration and graphic design. His work bridges traditional and digital mediums, reflecting a deep commitment to preserving the past while embracing modern creativity. Currently, he shares his expertise as a visiting faculty member at Shaheed Allah Bux Soomro University of Art, Design, and Heritage, inspiring the next generation of artists through his dedication to art education.

Armita, an Iranian artist with over 30 years of experience, has dedicated her life to evolving her artistic practice across various media and techniques. Hazem’s ability to blend cultural heritage with modern aesthetics has established him as a prominent figure in the art and design world.

Kholoud El-Desoki
Kholoud Mohammed El-Desoki, born in Saudi Arabia and raised in Gaza’s Khan Younis City, is an artist with a powerful story rooted in her Palestinian heritage. Raised in the displaced village of Bashit in the Ramla district, she has used art as a vehicle to convey the struggles of Palestine, with a particular focus on the experiences of women. El-Desoki graduated in 2014 from Al-Aqsa University’s Department of Art Education and has since been an active member of the Association of Palestinian Artists. Her art blends personal and political narratives, often exploring the tension between tradition and modernity through various mediums, including murals, oil paintings, and video art.
Laitu
Anjini Prakash Laitu, celebrated as the Colourman of Dubai, began his artistic journey in his sixties, defying conventions to become an influential figure in the art world. Born and raised in Mathura, India, Laitu nurtured a love for vivid colors from an early age, a passion he carried throughout his career in paper technology and glass bottle-making in Dubai. Post-retirement, he rekindled his creative spark, initially experimenting with fabric painting before formalizing his art education at the Sharjah Art Institute. Now, at 80, he paints prolifically, producing seven to eight new works monthly that echo the vibrant colors and energy of his hometown. His paintings are influenced by the legendary artist MF Husain and reflect his belief in the freedom of artistic expression. Laitu’s works, recognized for their positivity and life-affirming spirit, have been exhibited widely across the UAE, India, Nepal, and Qatar, making him a regular feature at World Art Dubai.

Nazanin Kianmehr

At the age of 28, she has already made significant strides in both her artistic practice and teaching career. After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Art from Shahid Bahonar University in Kerman, Iran, she continued her studies at Tabriz Islamic Art University, earning a Master of Arts in 2024. Nazanin opened her studio while still pursuing her BA, where she initially focused on creating artworks for sale. However, as interest in pottery grew among visitors, she shifted her focus to teaching, which has become the heart of her career. She currently teaches both children and adults in Dubai, where she combines her love for art with her passion for sharing knowledge.
